YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, A LEGAL U.S. RESIDENT CURRENTLY RESIDING in AL, AZ, AR, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WV or WI, AND HAVE INTERNET ACCESS TO ENTER. TO ENTER: Beginning at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on 10/2/09 and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 11/13/09 ("Promotion Period"), log on to www.dgliteracy.com and follow the instructions to submit an entry. All entries must include your name, complete address (no P.O. Boxes accepted), daytime telephone number with area code, e-mail address and date of birth. Limit: One (1) entry per person/e-mail address per day. All entries become the exclusive property of Reckitt Benckiser (“Sponsor”), and will not be returned or acknowledged. Proof of entry submission does not equate to proof of receipt. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address used to submit the entry will be deemed the entrant. The "Authorized Account Holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the Authorized Account Holder. Sponsor is not responsible for entry submissions received after the deadline, incomplete information, incomplete transmission defaults, computer server failure, human error, or delayed, garbled or corrupted data. Any attempts by an individual to access the site via a bot script or other brute-force attack will result in that individual and e-mail address becoming ineligible. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes without notice if, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, the Sweepstakes becomes infected or otherwise corrupted. In the event that the Sweepstakes is terminated, Sponsor will select winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor, or in any other manner deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final, binding and conclusive on all matters related to this Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on 10/2/09 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 11/13/09.
PRIZES/ODDS: GRAND PRIZE (3): Three (3) Grand Prize winners will each receive a $250 Dollar General Gift Card. Total Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") Of All Grand Prizes: $750. Additionally, Reckitt Benckiser will directly make a $10,000 donation ("Donation") in each winner’s community or region of residence to a public or private educational institution, library or charitable organization that focuses on Literacy Issues with a verified tax status as a 501(c)(3) organization as defined under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended, or considered government instrumentalities that are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions from individuals under Section 170(c)1 of the Internal Revenue Code (the "Charity"). The Donation will be made in the form of a check made payable to the Charity. The Charity will be selected by the winner from a list of approved charities that will be provided by the Sponsor. The winner may choose One (1) charity from the list of approved charities to receive the Donation. Final selection of the Charity is at the Sponsor's sole discretion. The Donation is not tax deductible by the Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner will not be responsible for taxes associated with the Donation, but will be responsible for any federal, state and local taxes associated with the $250 prize. If any potential prizewinner is unwilling or unable to accept prize offered, that prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be randomly selected. No substitutions permitted except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Sponsor will report the value of each prize as required by law. No transfer or assignment of any prize or portion of any prize is permitted. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. All prizes will be awarded if the number of eligible entries received is equal to or greater than the number of prizes available.
DRAWINGS: A total of three (3) potential winners will be randomly selected on or about 11/23/09 from among all eligible entries received. The drawings will be conducted by an independent judging agency whose decisions are final. Potential winners will be notified by phone at the daytime telephone number provided. If, after two attempts, contact has not been made, prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be randomly selected. Fulfillment agent must reach potential winner; messages will not be left. In the event of a potential prizewinner's disqualification for any reason, prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be randomly selected. Prize will be delivered within approximately 4-6 weeks of verification of eligibility.
ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes open to legal U.S. residents currently residing in AL, AZ, AR, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WV or WI who are 18 years of age or older and have Internet access as of 10/2/09. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Reckitt Benckiser, Dollar General Corporation, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, sales brokers and advertising, promotion, public relations and fulfillment agencies and affiliates, as well as the immediate family and household members of such employees, are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Each prizewinner may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity/Liability Release. If required, documentation must be returned within fourteen (14) days or that prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be randomly selected.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY & PUBLICITY: By accepting a prize, each prizewinner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph or likeness for publicity or advertising purposes without further compensation where permitted by law. All entrants release Reckitt Benckiser and Dollar General Corporation and each of their advertising, promotion, public relations and fulfillment agencies, affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of any prize, including liability for property damage or personal injury, damages, death or monetary loss.
